EHM successfully relocated five lighthouses from eroding bluffs and shorelines for the National Park Service, one of which was the National Historic Landmark Cape Hatteras Light. The Lighthouse was 210 feet tall, constructed of solid masonry weighed 5,000 tons. EHM was awarded The Opal Award, the highest engineering award, and the project was deemed the “Move of the Millennium.”
